Founded by Larry Vanderwoude, LCDC, The Recovery Institute for Addiction Studies, LLC’s mission is to address the growing need for substance abuse professionals by offering an in-depth education and certification program which provides the knowledge, understanding and practical experience required of the Addiction Counseling professional. The institute is an approved career school approved through the Texas Workforce Commission and poised with dedication to provide the education and prepare professionals for dealing with the needs of nearly 1.8 million Texans with a chemical dependency problem. Yet only 6% of Texans who need and qualify for state funded services were treated in 2010.
We offer a 270-hour Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) program.
The Recovery Institute for Addiction Studies, LLC received its Certificate of Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission to operate as a Career College.
The Recovery Institute for Addiction Studies, LLC is a Career School. Students who successfully complete the Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Program receive a transcript to meet the education criteria outlined in the Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Program as outlined in the Program Rules, Title 25, Texas Administrative Code, Chapter 140, Subchapter I §140.404, LCDC Licensure Application Standards and Counselor Intern Registration, §140.406 Standards for 270 Educational Hours, §140.407 Practicum Standards, and §140.408 Requirements for LCDC Licensure that can be located at http://www.dshs.state.tx.us; The standards can be located at http://www.tcbap.org.
